Multiple group I winner One Cool Cat has been retired and will stand in 2005 at John Magnier and partners Coolmore Stud in Ireland.
As a 2-year-old last year, the son of Storm Cat
won two group I events, the Independent Waterford Wedgwood Phoenix Stakes and Dunnes Stores National Stakes. He retired with five wins from 10 starts and earnings of $568,086.
After winning four of five starts at two, he won just one of five starts this year at three for trainer Aidan O'Brien and owners Michael Tabor and Sue Magnier.
One Cool Cat, out of the Mr. Prospector mare Tacha, was bred by WinStar Farm. He was sold by Taylor Made Sales Agency at the 2002 Keeneland July sale to Demi O'Byrne for $3.1 million.
