The TNT television network is said to be developing an original TV movie based on the book "Funny Cide."

The book chronicles the story of the 2003 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness (gr. I) winner, and the Sackatoga Stable group of mostly upstate New York residents that own him. Sportwriter Sally Jenkins penned the book.

Jon Maas ("The Last Debate") is slated to adapt Jenkins' book for the film. Funny Cide remains in training and won the Jockey Club Gold Cup (gr. I) before finishing unplaced in the Oct. 30 Breeders' Cup Classic - Powered by Dodge (gr. I).
