Poker Tournament Fee Reduced to $500

The entry fee to play in The Horseman's Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament has been reduced from $1,000 to $500.

The tournament will take place 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at Sal's Italian Chop House, Tates Creek Road, Lexington, Ky.

The tournament is a fund-raiser to benefit The Race for Education & The Kentucky Equine Management Internship Program. Both programs are non-profit organizations that provide educational opportunities to young people that are interested in careers in the horse industry.

The entry fee is a tax-deductible donation to these charitable organizations.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 20 finishers and include:
1st place--Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle, (approximate retail value $10,000)
2nd--a John Deere Gator ($4,000)
3rd--Flat Screen T.V. ($3,000)
4th--Set of Calloway Big Bertha irons ($700) and a Taylor Made 7 Series driver ($800)
5th--Mont Blanc man's or lady's watch ($1,400)
6th--Mini motorcycle ($600)
7th-10th--prizes approximately $100 in value
11th-20th--prizes approximately $50 in value.
