Pyramid Peak to Nuckols

John C. Oxley's graded stakes winner Pyramid Peak will stand in 2005 at Charles Nuckols Jr. and Sons' Nuckols Farm near Midway, Ky., for a fee of $2,500 live foal.

A 12-year-old son of Mt. Livermore out of the Stalwart mare Way It Should Be, Pyramid Peak equaled a track record in one of his two triumphs in the Baltimore Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III) and also won the Flamingo Stakes (gr. III). His stakes-placings included runner-up efforts in the Travers Stakes (gr. I) and Haskell Invitational Handicap (gr. I). For his career, he won eight of 22 starts and earned $871,559.

Pyramid Peak's runners included Panamanian graded stakes-placed Piramidal and Peakaboo Peak, who has earned $111,131. Pyramid Peak formerly stood at Darby Dan Farm near Lexington.
