Northern Afleet , whose grade I-winning son Afleet Alex ran second in the Bessemer Trust Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. I), will be relocating to Taylor Made Farm near Nicholasville, Ky., from Double Diamond Farm near Ocala, Fla.
Northern Afleet's seven stakes winners and seven stakes-placed runners also include 2004 added-money winners Saint Afleet, G P Fleet, Native Hawk, and Teak Totem. Two other runners, Unforgettable Max and Ice Wynnd Fire, are both grade II-placed this year. Afleet Alex's grade I win came in the Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga.
An 11-year-old son of Afleet out of the Nureyev mare Nuryette, Northern Afleet won three graded stakes and earned $626,671. Taylor Made successfully handled the stallions Saint Ballado and Kris S. following their transfer from Florida and was closely involved in managing Afleet's stallion career.
Northern Afleet, who stood for $5,000 at Double Diamond, will stand as the property of a syndicate for Taylor Made/WinStar Venture. A fee will be announced later.
