Canadian champion Perfect Soul has been retired to Darby Dan Farm near Lexington, Ky. and will enter stud in 2005 for a $15,000 fee.
The son of Sadler's Wells produced from the Secretariat mare Ball Chairman won seven of 21 starts and earned 1,527,764 while racing for his breeder Charles Fipke. In 2003, when he was voted an Eclipse Award as Canada's top turf horse, Perfect Soul won the Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. IT) and the King Edward Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIT). This year, he won the Maker's Mark Mile (gr. IIT).c
