(from Keeneland report)
Heavily favored Paddy's Daisy wore down 42-1 outsider Berbatim to win the $112,600 Jessamine County Stakes for 2-year-old fillies Thursday at Keeneland.

John Velazquez flew to Kentucky from New York to ride the daughter of King of Kings for trainer Todd Pletcher. She won for the third time in five starts and increased her earnings to $141,336 for owners David Coia and Stonehaven Farm.

A half-length separated Paddy's Daisy and Berbatim at the finish of the 1 1/16-mile race on the turf. It was 5 3/4 lengths back to third-place Jules Best in the field of 10 two-year-old fillies.

The time on the "good" course was 1:44.33.

The winner paid $3, $2.40 and $2.20. Berbatim, ridden by James Graham, returned $15.60 and $7.20 and Jules Best with Rafael Bejarano aboard paid $3.60.
