Grade II winner
Exploit, who ranks among the leaders on the second-crop sire list by 2004 and lifetime progeny earnings, will be relocated to John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla.
Unbeaten as a 2-year-old and a son of
Storm Cat, Exploit has sired stakes winners Courageous Act, Marina de Chavon, Exploited Storm, and Rich Find, plus three stakes-placed runners. His progeny earnings total has reached $2.5 million.
Exploit won the Brown & Williamson Kentucky Jockey Club (gr. II) and Iroquois (gr. III) Stakes at two and the San Vicente Stakes (gr. II) at three. Second in the San Felipe Stakes (gr. II) in the latter year, he won five of six races and earned $396,254.
Produced from the My Dad George mare My Turbulent Miss, Exploit is a half-brother to five stakes winners, including Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) winner and successful sire
Prized. His 2005 fee of $10,000 is $5,000 less than for what he stood in 2004 at Taylor Made Farm near Nicholasville, Ky.
The announcement of Exploit to Cloverleaf came shortly after it was announced at Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Sarava would enter stud at Cloverleaf.
