Captain Red to Saratoga Glen Farm in New York

Stakes-placed Captain Red, an Aqueduct track record-holder, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Saratoga Glen Farm near Schuylerville, N.Y. His fee is $3,000.
A 13-time winner, Captain Red set a record of 1:07.93 for six furlongs over Aqueduct's inner-dirt track and placed third behind Affirmed Success and Peeping Tom in the Toboggan Handicap (gr. III) in his next start. Another stakes-placing came when second in the Rockingham Park Sprint Handicap.
A 7-year-old son of Mr. Greeley out of the Relaunch mare Mary Roland, Captain Red won or placed in 25 of 47 starts and earned $368,231. He is a half-brother to stakes winner Rolandthemonarch and is from the same female family responsible for leading sire Buckaroo and successful stallion Stop the Music.
