Lune d'Or recorded a smooth two-length victory in the Premio Lydia Tesio (Ity-I) at Rome's Capannelle Sunday, leading a French one-two in the 1 1/4-mile test for fillies and mares.
With Thierry Jarnet aboard, the 3-year-old Richard Gibson-trained daughter of Green Tune seized the lead from the fast pacesetter Saldentigerin well over a furlong from home and proved too be too much for Andre Fabre's Walkamia and third-place finisher Super Bobbina, who was another half-length behind. Royal Fantasy finished fourth.
Lune d'Or, a 15/2 chance, won in 2:02.4 on good to soft going.
