Omega Code, a track-record setting son of Elusive Quality
, will enter stud at Hartley / De Renzo Thoroughbreds, Walmac South near Ocala, Fla., for a fee of $7,500 live foal. Walmac Stud Management, headed by John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell, recently purchased the 4-year-old colt.
Omega Code has won three of a dozen starts and earned $183,847. In his third lifetime start at two, Omega Code won the Ron and Jessman Cloud Memorial Stakes at Fresno by seven lengths, going six furlongs in a track record 1:07.70. He followed that up with a third in the Gilded Time Stakes, and in his first start at three won the San Miguel Stakes (gr. III) in 1:08.65 at Santa Anita.
Inbred 4 x 4 to Northern Dancer, Omega Code is a half-brother to multiple stakes winner Tempest Fugit and is out of the Deputy Minister mare Tin Oaks. His second dam is Squan Song, who won 18 races and earned $898,444.
Omega Code is in the process of being syndicated. It earlier was reported that Omega Code would enter stud at Walmac International near Lexington,
