Graded Winner Kalu to Liberty in New York

Kalu, a graded stakes winner, will stand the 2005 season at Jim and Michaelyn Scott's Liberty Stud near Ghent, N.Y. His fee is $4,000.
A 6-year-old son of Honor Grades, Kalu won the LG&E Energy Forerunner Stakes at Keeneland and the Hawthorne Derby (gr. IIIT) in consecutive starts. He retired with three wins from 11 starts and earnings of $259,986 and will stand for Bonnie Heath Farm.
Kalu's dam, Barely Rarely (by Rare Performer), is a half-sister to English and Italian champion Double Trigger and to French group II winner Double Eclipse. Second dam is a half-sister to Italian Horse of the Year and U.S. grade I turf winner Sirlad.
