Crimson Palace, winner of the Beverly D. Stakes (gr. IT) in August at Arlington Park for Godolphin, has been retired from racing. She was scheduled to contest the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT) at Lone Star Park.
Godolphin's Simon Crisford said: "Crimson Palace wasn't right after training at the weekend. Unfortunately, we have run out of time with her, and she will not run at the Breeders' Cup meeting."
Crimson Palace was a group I winner in her native South Africa.
Following a single start in January in Dubai for Team Valor, she began racing for Godolphin. She finished a close fourth in the Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I) in March, then won the Totepool Middleton Stakes (Eng-III).
A daughter of Elliodor out of the Northern Guest mare Perfect Guest, 5-year-old Crimson Palace retired with seven wins from 11 starts and earnings of $663,278. Breeding plans have not been decided.
