See Me Through Clearly Best at Hastings

See Me Through, registering her first stakes win, led from gate to wire to win the $180,637 Ballerina Breeders' Cup Stakes (Can-III) for fillies and mares at Hastings Park.
Ridden by Pedro Alvarado, the 3-year-old daughter of
Sky Classic drew away from the field on the far trun and coasted to a 3 1/2-length win in the 1 1/8-mile event. The time was 1:51 2/5 on a good track.
Summer Symphony rallied from seventh and finished second, 2 3/4 lengths in front of late closer You and Nelly.
In her first start against older rivals, See Me Through put away the field after fractions of :23 1/5, :47 4/5 and 1:12 3/5.
Trained by Cindy Krasner for owner Michael Jawl, See Me Through won for the first time since a six-furlong maiden special weight triumph on April 17 at Hastings.
The chestnut filly has won two of 10 career starts with earnings of $157,914.
She paid $18.90, $8.30 and $5.50. Summer Symphony returned $3.20 and $2.50. You and Nelly's show was $7.10.
Aunt Sophie, sent off as the 7-5 public choice, finished 10th in the field of 11.
