Laura's Lucky Boy, who has lost three in a row since winning the Will Rogers (gr. IIIT) at Hollywood Park in May, is part of a contentious field in Sunday's $150,000 Oak Tree Derby (gr. IIT) on the Santa Anita turf.

The 1 1/8-mile race also features the return to grass of a pair of veterans along the Triple Crown trail last spring, Imperialism and Borrego.

Laura's Lucky Boy rebounded from a sub-par comeback race in the La Jolla (gr. IIT) to finish a neck behind winning Blackdoun while third in the Del Mar Derby (gr. IIT) for trainer Jason Orman. The son of Theatrical also finished second in Hollywood Park's Cinema Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III) since his win in the Will Rogers.

The Bobby Frankel-trained Greek Sun, who won the Cinema and was subsequently second to Kitten's Joy in the Secretariat (gr. IT) at Arlington in August, also goes Sunday.

Borrego makes his first start since a runner-up finish to Fantasticat in the Super Derby (gr. II). He has had eight starts on dirt since his last turf effort for trainer Beau Greely. He's had five runner-up finishes this year. Borrego's first three races were on the grass and produced a maiden win prior to setting out in quest of the Kentucky Derby.

Also returning to the lawn is multiple grade II winner Imperialism, who has lost four in a row for trainer Kristin Mulhall. Imperialism, a son of son of Langfuhr

Semi Lost, who won the Pomona Derby last time out for trainer Jeff Mullins, and the Neil Drysdale-trained Terroplane, runner-up to Blackdoun in a division of Del Mar's Oceanside, help make for a deep race.

All carry 118 pounds except for Imperialism with 120.
