The final lot into the ring, a Danehill Dancer colt out of Promising Lady (by Thunder Gulch), topped Friday's session of Tattersalls' October yearling sale when bought by Grove Stud's Brendan Holland for 40,000 guineas.

The filly was consigned from Nicky Hartery's Caherass Stud in Co. Limerick, and purchased on behalf of the Eclipse Syndicate.

"It's a racing and breeding partnership and I thought she was a very good model for a Danehill Dancer," said Holland.

A total of 124 head sold Friday for 736,600 guineas, an average of 5,940 guineas and a median of 4,500 guineas.
