Fraam Colt Tops Tattersalls Part 2 Tuesday Session

There were two six-figure transactions Tuesday during the second day of Tattersalls October yearling sale (Part 2) in Newmarket, England. They were a 110,000-guinea Fraam – Periquitim colt bought by agent Charlie Gordon-Watson and a 105,000-guinea Marju -- Shimina colt knocked down to agent Gill Richardson.
Gordon-Watson's purchase is for Dubai owner Mohammed Jaber and will go into training in Newmarket with Ed Dunlop. The colt, whose sire covered for a fee of just £3,000, when he was conceived, sold for 45,000 guineas as a foal at Tattersalls.
Richardson's colt, on which trainer William Haggas was underbidder, was bought for an undisclosed client.
In all, 205 horses were sold for a gross of 4,122,000 guineas, an average of 20,107 guineas, and a median of 15,000 guineas.
