Taylor Made Sales Agency, founded 26 years ago, could reach the $1-billion mark in public auction sales with its consignment to this year's Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
Taylor Made was established by and since 1986 has been owned by the sons of Joe Taylor, the Kentucky horseman who managed Gainesway Farm when it was owned by John Gaines. The sales agency was an offshoot of the Taylor family's Taylor Made Farm, which now comprises more than 1,600 acres in central Kentucky.
"We would not be reaching this milestone were it not for our customers," said Mark Taylor. "It's hard to fathom we've sold almost $1 billion of horses for our clients. We are truly blessed."
According to the sales agency, Taylor Made is the leading consignor of grade I winners, graded stakes, and stakes winners for 2004.
