Millionaire Southern Image, one of racing's leaders the first part of the year, will be pointed toward a 2005 campaign.

"There have been offers to buy (for stallion duty), but there hasn't been an agreement on any of the deals," said trainer Mike Machowsky.

Southern Image, who scored grade I wins in this year's Santa Anita (gr. I) and Pimlico Special (gr. I) Handicaps, hasn't raced since finishing a nose back in the June 12 Stephen Foster Handicap (gr. I) at Churchill Downs. He missed the Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) in July because of a foot injury.

Southern Image had won four consecutive stakes going into the Stephen Foster. He started off with a score in the Malibu Stakes (gr. I) in December, then took the Barretts/CTBA Classic Stakes before the Santa Anita and Pimlico Special Handicaps.

A 4-year-old son of Halo's Image out of the Dixieland Band mare Pleasant Dixie, Southern Image is owned by Blahut Stables, Kagele Brothers, and Allen and Josh Tepper.
