The annual Kentucky Thoroughbred Association/Keeneland Association Scholarship day is set for Oct. 15. College students can register to win one-of- 10-$1,000 scholarships to be used toward their education.

Full-time college students who present a valid college I.D. and complete the necessary registration form will be eligible to win. After each race, one winner will be selected via random drawing and announced over the public address system.

Following the ninth race, a 10th scholarship will be awarded to a student directly affiliated with the horse industry. Students eligible for the industry scholarship must show proof of their affiliation and are not eligible to be part of the general pool.

Each student also will receive a voucher for free admission, good anytime during the remainder of the fall meeting. Students should enter through East Entrance to receive free admission, and winners must present to claim their prize
