General Meeting Filly Tops Barretts October Sale A record for a yearling sold at the Barretts Equine Ltd.'s October sale was set Tuesday when Gemstone Meeting, a filly by General Meeting out of Fiscal Year was purchased by Fog City Stable for $170,000. Consigned by Golden Eagle Farm, the filly is a full sister to the top 3-year-old filly Yearly Report. Barretts reported 242 yearlings sold for $3,233,750 averaging $13,363, with a median of $8,500, compared with 2003 when 236 sold for $3,214,000 averaging $13,61, with a median of $9,500. Charge backs were reduced to 18.8% from 23.1% last year. Fog City Stable was the leading buyer with its single purchase of the sales topper.
