Trainer Patrick Biancone said Oct. 5 that Michael Tabor's Magistretti, runner-up to Kitten's Joy in the Turf Classic (gr. IT), will run in the John Deere Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT).

Magistretti, who won the Man o'War Stakes (gr. IT) and was moved up to second via disqualification in the Arlington Million (gr. IT), had the lead turning for home in the Turf Classic, but couldn't match strides with the 3-year-old Kitten's Joy. Despite the son of Diesis being beaten beaten 2 3/4 lengths, Biancone feels he deserves another chance at Lone Star Park.

"He came out of the race really well," Biancone said. "He didn't really run very much. It was like a three-eighths of a mile race. I'm very happy it was, because he didn't have a hard race, so we'll go in the Breeders' Cup if everything keeps going right."

Biancone is hoping to have three horses for the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. He will saddle Sense of Style in Friday's Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. II) and Scipion in Saturday's Lane's End Breeders' Futurity (gr. I), both at Keeneland.

Magistretti had been a top-class performer in Europe before being shipped to the United States, having finished second in the group I Juddmonte International to Falbrav and Grand Prix de Paris.
