Kingmambo's Fee Jumps to $300,000

Kingmambo, sire of one of Europe's best 2-year-olds in the filly Divine Proportions, will stand for the same $300,000 fee belonging to fellow Lane's End Farm stallion
A.P. Indy. The $300,000 is $75,000 more than what Kingmambo commanded in 2004. A.P. Indy, who ranks third on the leading sire list by progeny earnings, has been standing for $300,000 since 2002.
Lane's End, owned by William S. Farish and located near Versailles, Ky., will keep second-year stallion
Mineshaft at $100,000. The farm announced fees of $50,000 for
Dixieland Band,
Gulch, and
Lemon Drop Kid ; $40,000 for
Came Home; $35,000 for
Smart Strike : $30,000 for
Dixie Union and
Langfuhr ; $25,000 for
Belong to Me ; $12,500 for
Stephen Got Even ; $10,000 for
Pine Bluff and
Pleasant Tap; $7,500 for
Silver Ghost; and $5,000 for Fit to Fight and
King Cugat. The fee for newcomer Pleasantly Perfect will be announced later.
