Dream of Summer, winner of six of eight career races including her last five in a row, will pass Sunday's $250,000 Lady's Secret Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) and be pointed to the $150,000 California Cup Matron, trainer Juan Garcia said Wednesday.

While both races for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up are the same distance, 1 1/16 miles, the Lady's Secret carries $100,000 more in purse money. Elloluv, Island Fashion and Summer Wind Dancer are expected to run.

"She's doing fine," Garcia said of the 5-year-old gray daughter of Siberian Summer. "We just felt the Cal Cup would be a better spot for her."

Dream of Summer, owned by James Weigel of Valencia, won the Rancho Bernardo Handicap (gr. III) at 6 ½ furlongs in her most recent start, on Aug. 21 at Del Mar. She has earned $322,500.
