A field of 10 fillies and mares will contest the Sen. Ken Maddy Handicap (gr. IIIT) that highlights Wednesday's opening card for the Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park.
Back to defend her title in the 6 1/2-furlong Maddy is Belleski, a daughter of Polish Numbers who won the race last year by two lengths at 19-10 odds. Trained by John Sadler, the 5-year-old mare will be ridden by Corey Nakatani.
Topweighted at 120 pounds is Intercontinental, a Danehill filly who won the Just a Game Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIT) and Jenny Wiley (gr. IIIT) earlier this year for trainer Bobby Frankel.
