Oak Tree Racing Association, which will hold its meet beginning Sept. 29 at Santa Anita Park, will offer a $1 pick five wager. It is believed to be a first, the racing association said.

The wager will be offered on the final five races of each program, between the start of the pick six and the start of the pick 4. There will be no carryover for the pick five, which means the pool will be distributed to the holders of tickets with the most winners.

"The rationale is that people can put together a decent ticket with a smaller bankroll," Oak Tree executive vice president Sherwood Chillingworth said. "Also, if your pick six ticket goes out early, you can come right back and start a pick five."

Oak Tree said it was the first track to offer rolling pick threes and rolling daily doubles.

Oak Tree also will offer twilight racing on Fridays for the first time. Post time will be 2:30 p.m. CDT. The track will offer concerts as well this year.
