Sapling Stakes winner Evil Minister faces Sapling place and show runners again in Sunday's Belmont Futurity.
The one-two-three finishers in Monmouth's Sapling Stakes (gr. III) will line up against each other again Sunday in the Belmont Futurity (gr. II).

Evil Minister, winner of the Aug. 28 Sapling and a winner of two of three starts, will face the second and third-place finishers that day and three others -- two colts and one filly -- in the mile Futurity.

Owned by Namcook Stables and trained by Erik Juvonen, Evil Minister, by Deputy Minister, was fourth in his first start, a maiden race at Monmouth on June 19. He came back to break his maiden at Pimlico Aug. 1 before winning the Sapling.

Second in the Sapling was Park Avenue Ball, who also is two-for-three during his short career. He won the Tyro Stakes on July 31 before the Sapling. The son of Citidancer is owned by Char-Mari Stable and trained by Jim Ryerson.

The Sapling third was Upscaled, who races for Bob and Beverly Lewis and is trained by Todd Pletcher.

There is one West Coast invader, Fusaichi Rock Star, who broke his maiden at Del Mar on Aug. 7. The Fusaichi Pegasus colt is owned by Fusao Sekiguchi and trained by Bob Baffert.

In post order, the field, with weights and jockeys, is:
