Leading German sire Lando, whose son Epalo ran second in the recent Man o' War Stakes (gr. IT) at Belmont Park, will stand at Haras d'Etreham near Etreham following an agreement between the French stud farm and Gestut Hof Ittlingen, according to the Racing Post.

A top international performer before standing at Gestut Hof Ittlingen, Lando was a two-time champion in both Germany and Italy and winner of the 1995 Japan Cup (Jpn-I). He won four group I events in his native Germany, including the BMW Deutsches Derby.

Lando's dozen stakes winners include Epalo, a group I winner in Singapore this year, as well as 2002 German Horse of the Year Paolini, winner of the Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I) in March.

Fourteen-year-old Lando (Acatenango--Laurea, by Sharpman) will stand at Haras d'Etreham for a fee of 7,500 euros (approximately $9,100).
