Bluewater Sales Hires Brian O'Rourke as Farm Manager

Bluewater Sales announced Sept. 8 that Brian O'Rourke will serve as farm manager immediately following the Keeneland September yearling sale that begins Sept. 13.
As farm manager, O'Rourke will expand Bluewater's operation to include full-time boarding care for broodmares, foals, and other Thoroughbreds, according to a release. He also will be involved with the sales operation in a recruiting and management role.
O'Rourke, 35, a native of Limerick, Ireland, has been the farm manager at Wimbledon Farm for the last six years. Prior to his work at Wimbledon, O'Rourke was the farm manager at Doninga Farm, and also served as an assistant manager for Coolmore Ireland.
