Chief Seattle Sharp in Belmont Breeze

Godolphin Racing's Chief Seattle breezed seven furlongs Thursday morning at Belmont Park, covering the distance in an impressive 1:25 4/5 over a fast track. The son of Seattle Slew began the work from a starting gate. Chief Seattle is preparing to face Preakness (gr. I) winner Red Bullet and Kentucky Derby (gr. I) fourth-place finisher More Than Ready in the 1 1/16-mile Dwyer Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park July 9.

Preakness fourth-place finisher Captain Steve was also out for exercise Thursday morning. The son of Fly So Free worked six furlongs on a fast Churchill Downs strip in 1:14 3/5, breezing.
