Coffey, My Creed covered the 1 1/8-mile distance in 1:47 2/5 and returned $10, $4.20 and $4.40. "He had a little problem going into the first turn," said Perez. "But this horse just has a lot of heart. He was really comfortable out there today and responded when I asked him to."It marked the third straight win and fourth in 11 career starts for the Kentucky-bred son of Beau Genius out of Test of Faith. The 3-year-old gelding collected $55,000 for owners Seven Star Racing Stable and Robert B. Hess Sr., increasing his lifetime earnings to $131,640.Flamethrowintexan, the 3-2 betting choice in the seven-horse field, finished second under Ricky Frazier and paid $3.20 and $3.
