The Darley Stable-owned Swither's first career victory was an impressive 10-length romp Saturday in the $200,000 Delaware Park NATC Sorority.

Ridden by Aarron Gryder, the 2-year-old daughter of Anees, in her second start, covered the six furlongs in 1:11.80 over a fast main track.

The 1-to-2 favorite in the field of eight, Elke, with Abel Castellano astride, ran second. It was another 1 1/2 lengths further back to Undeniable Queen, with Daniel Velazquez aboard, in third.

Swither, a New York-bred trained by Tom Albertrani, returned $9, $3 and $2.10 as the second choice.

"I think after her last race that just really tightened her up," said Albertrani. "She got a little tired in her last start at Saratoga and she just seemed a lot more aggressive since that race and a little more on her game today."

Swither battled Elke for the early lead and began to shake loose after a half-mile, widening her advantage through the lane.

"With two races, she had some experience under her and she just seemed after her last race to put her mind more on business."

Elke returned $2.20 and $2.10 and Undeniable Queen's show was $2.10.
