Stakes Winner Whoop's Ah Daisy Retired
Whoop's Ah Daisy, a homebred stakes-winning mare for the Sleeter family, has been retired from racing and will be sent to Sleeter Farm near Clementon, N.J. Whoop's Ah Daisy was bred by Carolyn Sleeter, campaigned by husband Gerald and trained by their son, Kevin. The 5-year-old daughter of Northern Idol out of the Private Terms mare Bring Me Flowers won this year's restricted Open Mind Handicap at Monmouth Park and was stakes-placed five times in her career. She retired with seven wins from 21 starts and earnings of $259,710.
