Grade II winner Tizdubai, a 3-year-old full sister to Horse of the Year Tiznow
, has been retired from racing because of a hairline fracture in a hock. As a 2-year-old, Tizdubai won her only two starts, including the Sorrento Stakes (gr. II) at Del Mar. Sent to England for her 3-year-old season, she ran unplaced in two group events. The daughter of Cee's Tizzy
out of the Seattle Song mare Cee's Song retired with earnings of $117,780 off those four starts.
Tizdubai, who was the second-highest-priced weanling, at $950,000, at the 2001 Keeneland November breeding stock sale, was purchased by John Ferguson for Sheikh Mohammed. Breeding plans have not been announced.
