Funny Cide Makes Long-Awaited Saratoga Debut

Funny Cide will make his Saratoga debut this Sunday.

Sackatoga Stable's Funny Cide will make his first start at Saratoga on Sunday when heads a field of eight in the 87th running of the grade II, $250,000 Saratoga Breeders' Cup at 1 1/4 miles.

Although he was foaled near the upstate New York track and is raced by a partnership based in Saratoga, the 3-year-old champion of 2003 has never raced at the Spa.

The Saratoga Breeders' Cup will go to post as race nine at 5:20 p.m., and will be shown, via tape delay, by ESPN2 during its one-hour telecast that starts at 7 p.m. (ET) on Sunday.

Also in the field is 2002 Saratoga Breeders' Cup winner Evening Attire, Alumni Hall, Bowman's Band, Sarava, Presidentialaffair, The Lady's Groom, and Congrats.
