British invader Albanova won her second group I in Germany in the past two weeks, taking the 1 1/2-mile Rheineland-Pokal der Stadtsparkasse Koln with a final 100-yard burst Sunday at Cologne.
As in her recent Dusseldorf win, jockey Terry Hellier brought the 4-year-old daughter of Alzao home in the late stages for trainer Sir Mark Prescott and owner Kerstin Rausing.
Albanova squeezed through on the inside after being unable to find room between horse. After getting through and switching out for the run to the wire, she edged in front of pacesetting High Accolade with 100 yards to go. She won by three-quarters of a length on a good course. Malinas was third, followed by Simonas.
The winner tracked High Accolade most of the way in third place before looking for room with two furlongs to go.
Omikron, Well Made and Rotteck trailed.
