Longtime broadcaster Brent Musburger, better known nationally known for his football and basketball reporting, will host Saturday's Arlington Million (gr. I) telecast on ABC Sports.

The four-race presentation is from 3 to 5 p.m. (CDT).

Also part of the ABC Sports "NTRA Super Saturday" telecast will be Arlington Park's Beverly D. (gr. IT), as well as Saratoga's Sword Dancer Invitational (gr. IT) Handicap and Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (gr. II).

It will mark the first national network broadcast of the Arlington Million since 1991, when it was also an ABC Sports presentation.

Musburger, 65, has deep Chicago roots. He attended Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism in Chicago and began his professional journalism career at the now defunct Chicago American, where he became an award-winning sportswriter.

His broadcast career started when he joined WBBM Radio in Chicago in 1968 as sports director before moving to Los Angeles to co-anchor the nightly news for KNXT-TV.

Joining Musburger as part of the Arlington broadcast team is Randy Moss, ESPN's Thoroughbred racing analyst, and Jeannine Edwards, who will do additional reporting.
