Areyoutalkintome rallied from last place in a five-horse field to win the $100,000 Real Good Deal for California-bred 3-year-olds Friday night at Del Mar.

With Corey Nakatani in the saddle, Areyoutalkintome, second choice in the wagering at 5-2, charged from far back to enter contention in the upper stretch, wore down longshot Never Surrender in the final furlong and drew out to score by three lengths in 1:21 3/5 for the seven furlongs.

Never Surrender, who went to the gate at 11-1 under Tyler Baze, was 3 ½ lengths in front of Jet West, with even-money favored El Don a faltering fourth, another six lengths back.

Areyoutalkintome, a son of Smokester, is owned by the partnership of Ron Manzani, Russell Sarno and trainer Doug O'Neill. The victory, the gelding's fourth in eleven starts, increased the horse's earnings to $167,892.

Areyoutalkintome paid $7.20, $4.20 and $3. Never Surrender returned $7.20 and $3.20, and the show payoff on Jet West was $3.80.
