J. Paul Reddam's Elloluv, who has compiled earnings of $1.2 million running against the best fillies of her generation, will make her 11th straight start in a graded race on Saturday when she goes to the gate for the $300,000 Clement L. Hirsch Handicap (gr. II) at Del Mar.

The 4-year-old daughter of Gilded Time, out of the Cryptoclearance mare Currency Quest, comes to the race from two sixth-place efforts in her first two outings of 2004. Though the Craig Dollase-trained filly is winless since the 2003 Ashland Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland, she finished a close fourth in the Kentucky Oaks and was second to Adoration in the Breeders' Cup Distaff last fall.

Once again she'll be in tough company, including Milady Handicap winner Star Parade, Vanity Handicap champion Victory Encounter and Hollywood Breeders' Cup Oaks winner House of Fortune.

Along with the star-studded foursome, four others are solid for the race.

They are Indy Groove, Miss Loren, Royally Chosen and Tucked Away. Miss Loren, trained by Luis Seglin in only her third start in the United States, figures to bring some intrigue to the race as the 6-year-old mare will start in her 39th career race, 36 in her native Argentina.
