I'll Get Along, the dam of Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness (gr. I) winner Smarty Jones will be offered at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky select November mixed sale on Nov. 7 in Lexington. Owned by John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II in Florida, the 12-year-old daughter of Smile is in foal to Smarty Jones' sire, Elusive Quality
"Owning the dam of Smarty Jones during the Triple Crown races has been the absolute next best thing to owning 'Smarty' himself," said Cloverleaf Farms general manager Brent Fernung. "While Cloverleaf's owner, Mr. John Sykes, is thrilled to own her, Cloverleaf Farms is a relatively new entity and I'll Get Along's potential value will go a long way towards realizing our goals for the farm and for the Florida breeding industry."
Said Fasig-Tipton president Walt Robertson: "We are honored to have the opportunity to sell this wonderful mare.," said Fasig-Tipton president Walt Robertson. "Smarty Jones has been a positive force in the entire sporting world, and his dam, I'll Get Along, is a collector's item."
