New 2005 Date Announced for Barretts March Juvenile Auction

The Baretts March sale of 2-year-olds in training will beconducted on Tuesday, March 15, in 2005 instead of Tuesday, March 1, as originally scheduled. The training previews for the Southern California auction will be held on Monday, March 7, and Sunday, March 13. The new schedule is a response to changes in the national juvenile sale calendar, according to Barretts president Jerry McMahon.

In related news, Barretts announced that Mark Maronde will return as the company's National Field Representative after spending two years doing bloodstock work in New Zealand.

"We are delighted to have Mark back on board," McMahon said. "Mark was instrumental in selecting and recruiting many of our most successful graduates."

Maronde will be based in Lexington, Ky. He is employed by WinStar Farm.
