A trio of potential runners for Sunday's 59th edition of the grade I, $250,000 Bing Crosby Breeders' Cup Handicap put in final tuneups Tuesday morning for the race named for one of the founders of the seaside track.

Court's in Session, trained by Brian Koriner, who has left his Northern California base for a run at Del Mar's competition, turned in a sharp five-furlong drill in 59.60. Koriner says he knows the 5-year-old gelding, claimed from Wesley Ward for $32,000 May 9, will be in tough Sunday, but he believes the horse will give a good account of himself. Court's in Session is on a three-race win streak, the most recent victory coming in the Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Sprint June 19, in which he defeated Debonair Joe and Hombre Rapido.

Turning in a solid 59.80 five-furlong work was Rojo Toro, who was second to Pohave in the grade I Triple Bend Breeders' Cup Handicap at Hollywood Park in his most recent race, July 3.

Also working toward the Crosby was Kela, who drilled the same distance in 1:01 for trainer Mike Mitchell.

Expected to join that trio in the Crosby starting gate are defending Crosby champ Beau's Town, Triple Bend winner Pohave, Revello, Green Team and Disturbingthepeace, who won the six-furlong dash in 2002 and is the 2002 and 2003 winner of the seven- furlong Pat O'Brien Breeders' Cup Handicap, which will be run Sunday, Aug. 15.

Disturbingthepeace is expected to run back in the O'Brien, and one of his potential antagonizers, the old warhorse Bluesthestandard, had a solid half-mile workout Tuesday in 48.80 for trainer Ted West.

Other notable workers included Our New Recruit, winner of the $1 million Golden Shaheen in Dubai in March, who was clocked in 37 seconds for three furlongs; My Charmian, who drilled four furlongs in 49.40 for Saturday's Fleet Treat Stakes; and Go Ask Daisy, who posted a four-furlong work of 51.20, also in preparation for the Fleet Treat.
