Swingn' Notes solidified her place as the top 3-year-old filly at Emerald Downs on Sunday by winning the $40,000 Kent Handicap.
Swingn' Notes, who also won the Irish Day Handicap on June 13, made it two stakes races in a row by defeating 2-1 betting choice Karis Makaw by 1 ¾ lengths.
Ridden by Adalberto Lopez, Swing' Notes covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:43 1/5 and returned $9.60, $3.80 and $3.40.
"(Trainer) Bud Klokstad gave me the green light today, he left it up to my own judgment," Lopez said. "There really wasn't a lot of speed in this race and I was able to give her a little breather. Once we turned for home, she just exploded."
Swingn' Notes picked up her fourth win in 12 career starts and earned $22,000 to increase her lifetime earnings to $123,944 for owners Johnny and Ruth Lewis of Olympia.
"She's very easy to train, very sensible," Klokstad said. "I'm pretty happy with her. She did it very easy today."
Karis Makaw, under Gary Baze, paid $4 and $3.60, while Overact returned $4.60 for the show.
