Bachelor Blues, who has developed an affinity for Woodbine's turf, hopes his edge can carry the day in Saturday's $168,600 Toronto Cup Stakes (Can-III) for 3-year-olds.Sporting a record of two wins, a second and a third from four starts on the E.P. Taylor Turf Course, Bachelor Blues heads into the 1 1/8-mile Toronto Cup coming off a third-place finish in the Charlie Barley Stakes. The son of Smoke Glacken steadied at the start of that one-mile turf race and crossed the wire 6 ½-lengths behind Dalavin."He tends to get geared up and wants to go," said conditioner Josie Carroll of the Kentucky-bred. "The Charlie Barley will help this horse going into this race. He's in good order."Bachelor Blues, a lifetime earner of $292,979, began his 3-year-old campaign with four losses. He won last year's Summer Stakes at the Toronto oval."The problem with Bachelor Blues is that he is one-dimensional, that's his downfall," said Carroll. "You just can't take him back. But as he runs in more races, the more relaxed he's getting."$168,600 Toronto Cup (Can-III), 3-year-olds, 1 1/8 mile on turf PP / Horse / Trainer / Jockey / Morning Line Odds 1 / Northtobaghdad / Laurie Silvera / Julia Brimo / 20-1 2 / Burst of Fire / Mark Frostad / Todd Kabel / 8-1 3 / Silver Ticket / Mark Frostad / Todd Kabel / 5-2 4 / Bachelor Blues / Josie Carroll / Emile Ramsammy / 10-1 5 / Kintu / Ron Burke / Eurico Rosa Da Silva/ 30-1 6 / Dynalympic / Michael Dickinson / Patrick Husbands / 7-2 7 / Honolua Storm / Roger Attfield / Jono Jones / 4-1 8 / Alleged Ruler / Eric Coatrieux / Robert Landry / 6-1 9 / Lone Arrow / Roger Attfield / Richard Dos Ramos / 15-1 10 / Gangster / Sid Attard / Jim McAleney / 15-1
