Barretts Signs Web-Casting Agreement With Live Global Bid

Barretts Equine Limited has signed a multi-year agreement with Live Global Bid to provide Web-casting and internet bidding on Barretts auctions..
The California-based sale company offered online bidding, in partnership with Live Global Bid, during several previous sales with great success. The next event on Barretts' calendar, the fall preferred yearling sale, scheduled for Oct. 5, will be the first event Web-cast under the new agreement.
"We are very pleased to move our relationship with Live Global forward," said Bill Baker, Barretts' vice president and controller, in a prepared statement. "We like the added flexibility and market reach that we will be able to achieve through the use of this technology. In addition, we believe that this clearly demonstrates the strong commitment that we have to our customers. Live Global Bid technology will allow us to cost effectively reach the world-wide Thoroughbred marketplace."
Live Global Communications, USA, Inc., which owns the Live Global Bid technology, maintains offices in Regina, SK, Canada, Moose Jaw, SK, Canada, Sydney, Australia and Milwaukee, WI. Its technology is widely used in the selling of automobiles in North America and is gaining popularity in Europe and Australia. More than 250,000 vehicles are offered each month using the technology. The company also is involved in the selling of agriculture equipment, construction equipment, antiques, art, and industrial supplies.
