The TV Games Network will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a one-hour special that will air July 21 at 9 p.m. EDT. The show will be rebroadcast several times beginning at 12:30 a.m. July 22.

Featured in the TVG 5th anniversary special will be a look back at the top accomplishments in horseracing over the past half-decade, and the top races aired by TVG during that time. TVG also will go back into its video archives to air some of the more humorous moments that have occurred, and also take a look back at a number of celebrities who have appeared, beginning with comedian and Thoroughbred owner Jack Klugman, who was interviewed on July 14, 1999, TVG's first day on the air.

The show will offer highlights from an interview with the late Chris Antley, one-month after from his Triple Crown run aboard Charismatic. In addition to the historic elements, the show will highlight the network's programming, examining such shows as "The Works," "The Sales," "The Quarters," and several documentaries.

"All of us at TVG are proud of what's been accomplished in just five years," TVG president Ryan O'Hara said in a release. "But we couldn't have done it without our key partners in horse racing, our cable and satellite distributors, and of course, our fans. When we turned on the lights five years ago, there was no blueprint for what we were doing and we are pleased that, in a relatively short period of time, TVG has become an integral part of the sport."
