During the upcoming Saratoga race meet, two Eclipse Press author signings will be held at the National Museum of Racing, 191 Union Avenue, in Saratoga Springs, N. Y. On Tuesday, Aug.10, from 10 a.m.-noon: Ed Bowen will be signing "Legacies of the Turf, A Century of Great Thoroughbred Breeders (Vol. I)." On Wednesday, Aug.11, from 10 a.m.-noon: Barbara Livingston will be signing "Old Friends, Visits With My Favorite ThoroughbredsÄ The Kentucky Equine Education Project board of directors has appointed Kentucky Horsemen's Benevolent and Protection Association President Susan Bunning who is a vice president for equine lending at Bank One and Dan Kenny, a bloodstock agent with many years of experience, to the board. KEEP was formed to build broad-based education and grassroots initiatives to increase awareness of the benefits of Kentuckys horse economy for all breeds of horses, and to promote and preserve equine jobs and economic opportunities for Kentuckians throughout the Commonwealth -- Lianne Mize has been hired as office manager of Team Valor. A graduate in journalism from the University of Kentucky, she began in the industry in the circulation department of the Thoroughbred Record magazine. Previous to being hired by Team Valor, she held similar duties at both Dixiana and Spendthrift Farms.
