First Winners for Golden Missile, Vicar, Classic Cat

Classic Cat as well as grade I winner
Vicar were represented by their first winners the beginning of July. Each won at first asking.
Classic Cat was the first of the group to achieve sire status. His daughter Missy Cat won July 2 at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:08.58 at Calder Race Course. Bred by Carolyn Yerkes, she races for Bee Bee Stables.
Classic Cat (Mountain Cat--Sahsie, by Forli) stands for $2,500 at Cloverleaf Farms II near Ocala, Fla.
Golden Missile's daughter, Inspiring, and Vicar's son, Vicarage, won July 5. Inspiring scored by four lengths in :57.19 for five furlongs at Hollywood Park for Robert and Beverly Lewis. She was bred by Timothy Thornton in partnership with Mike and Meg Buckley.
A grade I winner, Golden Missile (
A.P. Indy --Santa Catalina, by Cure the Blues) stands for $25,000 at Frank Stronach's Adena Springs Kentucky near Midway.
Vicarage won at 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.07 at Belmont Park. Bred by J.D. Squires, he races for Dogwood Stable.
