With the racing industry pointing toward the summer and fall classics, HorseRacing TV (HRTV) will debut a series of weekly features focusing on the leading contenders in racing's ultimate one-day spectacle, the Breeders' Cup. The new series will debut July 1.
"Pursuit of the Cup," hosted by Laffit Pincay III and Jeff Siegel, will focus on handicapping the frontrunners in each of the Breeders' Cup races. The series will be divided into four segments: Classic and Sprint; Distaff and Filly & Mare Turf; Juvenile and Juvenile Fillies; and Turf and Mile. Segments will air for the first time on Thursdays, and will be repeated throughout the weekend.
The Breeders' Cup Championships will take place Oct. 30 at Lone Star Park. Lone Star Park, like HRTV, is owned by Magna Entertainment Corp.
