Champion Anees' First Winner

Anees, champion 2-year-old male and Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) winner, was represented by his first winner when his daughter Nine Cats won June 26 at Albuquerque. Bred by Meadow Oaks Farm and Dr. Frank Justice, Nine Cats won the five furlong race in :59.81. Anees (Unbridled--Ivory Idol, by Alydar) stood at Mill Ridge Farm, owned by Alice Chandler and her husband, Dr. John Chandler, near Lexington prior to his death last year.
